New for Sale Items

Hey guys! Long time, no see! Well, it's been a while and if you follow me on youtube, you'll know that I have a brand new "product" available. They are... Arabian Halters! They're petty simple things, but a lot of work goes into these! They are completely hand braided and sewn from scratch.

Each one is $10 and if you want the stripe down the middle, it's $.50 more. The lead line is an extra $1. Sorry about the words, they're from my youtube video!
Also, now I have a finer chain, so don't worry about that.

As usual, contact me at devoncomstock@hotmail.com if you're interested in buying from me. I also have my youtube account where I'm known as " Guineagirl59210 " and my website: http://sundancestudiosdc.weebly.com/

Items for Sale!

Well, things have been pretty hectic around here with school starting and trying to get last minute supplies. I really don't want to go back to a regular school schedule, but what can I do about it...

So anyways, I've posted a white nylon barn halter on EBay and this is more of a test run to see how it sells and I'm trying to figure out how to use EBay. Here's the link: http://www.ebay.com/itm/White-Nylon-Traditional-Scale-Breyer-Horse-Halter-LSQ-/281159175592?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4176648da8

As always, I'm more than happy to make duplicates for anyone that missed out on this opportunity. I will also make others in different colors if you want.

I've also decided what breed and color I want that custom horse to be. He's going to a chestnut Missouri Fox Trotter. I'm thinking about naming him Pinky or something similar because at first it was just a joke making all of his stuff pink, but now I'm kind of liking it! Besides, what kind of person doesn't have one of those horses with a funny name! Danielle Seivers named her horse Doorstop and another one Fluffy!

New Piggy Cage!

Yeah! My piggy's new cage is FINISHED! It wasn't all that hard really. They really seem to be enjoying it.
crazy full pig cage!

The cage wall is made from some wire shelving that I zip tied together and the inner lining is made from a sheet of coroplast. There is a wood support beam to eliminate any "droop". The ramp is in my garage right now so I just use the 2nd floor to separate the pigs when they start trying to kill each other - all of us girls do that at some point.

Anyways, horse back riding has been great! I've been riding since last summer (for a horse camp) , but started taking lessons in November and it's crazy how much you notice the temperature difference. The first time I rode it was probably 40-50 degrees and now its like 80-90 degrees!
My normal riding horse is a rescue thoroughbred named Lumpy and he's over 16 hands but a couple weeks ago I rode Cinnamon! I haven't rode her since the summer camp. The girls a real sass bag. She's so lazy and when you finally get  her to canter she goes "FINE!" and runs as fast as she can... oh well, I better get used to it.

Diorama + Customs = Chaos

Well, I've been working on quite a bit of stuff. It may not look like much, but believe me -- it's a lot. First, I have a diorama that I've been working on. It's a work in progress so I'm still messing with it quite a bit.
I'm going to add some sand of dirt on the brown area later.

I've also been working on a custom. I have absolutely no idea what breed he's going to be so HELP ME! but I think he'll be a chestnut and I know that the mane and tail are terrible. I might redo the tail but... I don't know if I'll have the time ( or the clay!) to redo it. He was originally the standing presentation Secretariat and I got him with that crazy ear along with the mare below on eBay. He's only my 2nd custom!

Before (Sadly I don't have any pictures of the other side)

Here's after a tiny bit of sanding
Here's the mane, tail, and forelock. Also, I primed the horse to see uneven areas
Here's my first custom from a LONG time ago. It must have been last septemberish when I got her and I finished it a while ago too. She's supposed to be a palomino Clydesdale mare and I named her Sandy after my piggy!
Before:

Here's after covering a little bit of the seams on her legs

Here's after I added a new forelock

And here's after painting!
Eh, I really don't care for the hoof color. Somehow I managed to mix lemonade and pumpkin orange to get some sort of neon peach...It's really that bright in person and looks like someone painted their mare's hooves for a Halloween Parade.

Well, things have been pretty busy so um that whole blog once a week kinda went down the drain so I'll just try to post as often as I can.

Hello All!

Hello! Welcome to my blog!
I am currently in the model horse hobby and I love guinea pigs and horses! I also have a website which shows my for sale items. Here's the link. Feel free to browse and comment my website and blog though my website still has some fuzzy and missing pictures that I need to fix later.

Anyways, I have customized 1 breyer horse and am working on another, but I'm more of a tack maker rather than a customizer. I've made 1 harness and 1 arabian costume though both of them are very incorect since I do lack reference photos and close ups. I've also made a western saddle and I'm working on a dressage saddle so we'll see how that turns out.

I own two guinea pigs, Ginger and Sandy, and they are the most adorable cavies in the world! (My opinion) and I atually put my western saddle on them -- I know, I'm mean, but they'll do anything for food!
Thanks for reading -- if there are any of you out there -- and I'll try to post every week!
